About Me
Nice to meet you! I’m Nicole Taher.
From the music industry to the soul of human intimacy, my journey has always been about resonance.
I am a psychotherapist, sex therapist, and marriage and family therapist with a specialization in psycho-erotic, kink/BDSM, psychodynamic, and depth-oriented approaches to intimacy, identity, relational healing, and the personal individuation process.
My approach to the erotic, the unconscious, and the psyche is shaped not only by formal training but by the lineage I was raised inside: the currents of Sufi psychology, Persian mysticism, Kingian philosophy, and the quiet prophetic thread carried through my father’s ancestry. These traditions taught me to listen beneath language—beneath fear, beneath story, into the places where psyche speaks in symbol, desire, and metaphor rather than logic.
Before stepping into this sacred work, I spent over a decade in the major-label music industry, working with high-profile artists, executives, and creative entrepreneurs across Los Angeles and Nashville, including Universal Music Group, Universal Music Publishing Group, and Geffen/Interscope/A&M Records. My background in artist development, branding, music publishing, and creative direction now informs my clinical work in powerful ways: I know how to hold complexity. I know how to navigate fame, visibility, creativity, desire, and the unseen pressures that come with living a life that doesn’t fit the mold.
What makes my practice unique is the fusion of soul-centered depth psychology, sex therapy, kink-informed care, and relational attunement. I specialize in:
Archetypal and psychospiritual integration — working with myth, symbol, and the soul’s unfolding
Dreamwork and unconscious desire — exploring the erotic imagination, night-psyche, and instinctual life
Depth psychology and shadow inquiry — tracing the hidden architectures of self, longing, and pattern
Embodied relational healing — repairing attachment through presence, sensation, and the erotic body
Psychodynamic integration within Kink & BDSM psychology — tracing how unconscious power currents influence intimacy and relational patterns, understanding dominance, submission, and the psyche of erotic power
Queer, non-monogamous, and liberated relational structures — cultivating honesty, agency, and relational sovereignty
How I Got Here
For years, I lived in a state of high achievement and constant motion—always reaching for the next milestone, the next artist launch, the next creative summit. I built a life in music that looked beautiful from the outside. But inside, I felt disconnected—from my body, from softness, from presence. Eventually, through a series of soul-waking events and one profound spiritual connection, I was led back to myself. Under the loving guidance of a teacher who taught me how to live gently, I began to unwind old patterns of judgment and hardness. I remembered what it meant to be human again—to feel, to ache, to open. Therapy, for me, is not just a profession—it is a devotional path. One that honors the soul, the psyche, and the sacred within our wounds.
My Values
I believe in the intelligence of desire.
I believe in the power of complexity.
I believe healing happens not by eliminating difference, but by integrating the many parts of who we are.
My work is shaped by multiple lineages that have taught me how to listen: Sufi psychology, Persian mysticism, Buddhist philosophy, the prophetic thread carried through my father’s ancestry, and the nonviolence teachings of the King Center in Atlanta—where I trained under Dr. Bernice A. King in Nonviolence™, a lineage that roots my work in relational liberation, disciplined love, and the courage to tell the truth.
These teachings ground my clinical approach in ethical presence and depth: a commitment to witness the soul without judgment, to read symbols and desire with nuance, and to honor the unconscious as a site of wisdom rather than pathology.
I am driven by a devotion to reduce suffering and reconnect people to their own vitality—through self-understanding, sacred relationships, erotic clarity, and spiritual honesty. I draw inspiration from music-making and the living language of nature: the ocean’s tide, the hush of ancient forests, the quiet places where psyche remembers itself.
As a queer, non-monogamous, kink-practicing human who produces and directs erotic content, I hold a lived understanding of power, freedom, and love. I meet my clients from a place of embodied truth and curiosity. There is no part of you I cannot meet.
